The Digital divide is a divide which can be looked at in many ways as it can be a divide locally and globally. The local impact of this divide is that those who are wealthier than others will have more access to technology as they will be able to afford the latest technologies like 4G or fibre optic broadband. This will result in the being able to study at home with better facilities and so they will achieve higher in their exams. Those who do not benefit from a high income wage will not be able to afford the soaring prices this they are disadvantages both at home and at school. those who are wealthy are only getting wealthier by benefiting highly from the advantages of accessing the internet and the services which they are able to access such as e commerce. The poorer members of society are not able to keep up with the progress in technology and so remain poor. Those in LEDCS may have finally moved past the basic standards of life, but now are faced with even bigger challenges which is keeping up without the advances in technology.
