The majority of the uk's population all have sufficient access to technological services like the internet but there a small number of people who remain without the luxuries of having access to the internet. this may be due to the fact they are not in as strong financial states as others in order for them to have these privileges like internet access which, in todays society is taken for granted. The divide between the rich and the poor countries is constantly growing and there are no signs of this even, slowing down. over the last few years those in developed countries have had more access to the latest services as they are able to afford them and their country is able to provide these services as they have strong economical stature. Broadband internet connection in the uk via fibre optic or cable were used by 42% of households up from 30% in 2012. this indicates how lucky those who live in MEDC’S as they have more opportunities and they have access to the luxuries in life whereas others don't.
Those who are located in the less economically developed countries suffer financially and so therefore their technological access is practically non existent. As those living in developed countries are gaining access to more advanced form of technologies, those in poorer countries are lacking standard online skills such as accessing simple services like google and sending emails. 3 in 1000 people in Asia have their own personal computer, Whilst 1 in 2 americans have internet access, 1 in 250 africans have internet access. this shows the extent of the divide globally as the majority of people in rich countries have internet access, the majority of people in poor countries don't even have access to clean water, never mind internet access.
