- Security tags such as ankle tags which are now invented stop those who have committed criminal offences from staying outside past a specific time. This restricts them from spending time with their friends and family outdoors. Once the person is outside after their allocated time a signal goes to the police whom track the location of the individual and make sure they get home. This can be embarrassing as they feel as though they are treated as a child.
- Security tags do not always work and so a person who is a criminal may still be outside. This leaves a sense of fear in those who are outdoors as they will feel as though they are not as protected as they thought they were. People who break their curfew are found and escorted home by the police to make sure they are not seen outdoors. Those who wear these tags are restricted to only a few hours outdoors.
- Some people believe that the amount of cameras and other security measures are an invasion of privacy and that people are unable to completely enjoy themselves. They believe that all the cameras make them feel as though they are watched and so they don't feel comfortable. They feel this way because they have been restricted and they are being treated as a child because they are committing crimes which they shouldn't.
